Who can apply

Participation is free and open to students from all universities around the world, in any discipline. Whether high-tech or low-tech, if you are creating solutions for problems faced by people, communities or the planet, you should apply.


Projects will be chosen based on how they score in:

  • Original in Problem solving.

  • Making a positive impact for people, communities or the planet.

  • Applying (high or low) tech or innovative methods to achieve results .

How to Apply

Applying to Global Grad Show is simple. Fill in the application form and upload a pdf of your project outlining:

  • Name of project, Designer and contact details.

  • Explanation of the project, what it does, how it works and the problem it solves.

  • Visual materials that help explain it (images, diagrams or illustrations).

  • Links to any available videos or demos.

2021 Programme

  • Global Grad Show

    100 of the best innovations will be selected and promoted through a global media campaign. (See press coverage here)

  • Each project will be featured on the Global Grad Show website along with a short film on each graduate. (See example here)

  • An independent jury will select one project to receive the Progress Prize – a $10,000 award for an outstanding project in the Show

  • MENA Grad Show

    University students in the Middle East and North Africa applying for Global Grad Show will also have the chance to attend and showcase their projects in the MENA Grad Show, a physical exhibition held during Dubai Design Week.

  • Entrepreneurship Programme

    Every submission will be invited to take part in the multi-phased entrepreneurship programme, dedicated to graduates who want to take their projects to market.

  • Successful participants receive training, mentorship and introductions to industry specialists. At the end of the programme, the most promising projects have the opportunity to pitch for A.R.M. Holding AED 10 million Fund for startups.
