About

A digital hub for volunteer work

In China, people have shown willingness to help others get through these difficult times, but they lack reliable channels for mutual collaboration and a database aggregating requests. . Help Ourselves is a docking app and mutual assistance system, connecting the requests from people in need with the services from volunteers. Built on WeChat Mini platform for immediate release, it has already helped thousands of senior citizens, enterprises and voluntary organizations in a streamlined and low-cost manner.

  • Zijing W

    Hunan University

    A team from the School of Design, Hunan University, composed of two first-year graduate students and a doctoral student, Zijing W, Yidi Z and Du X, respectively responsible for project management, interface design and user research. The team instructor is Hu Y, associate professor of the School of Design of Hunan University, and a key member of the national key R & D project; D. Wu, double-appointed professor of the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering and School of Design of Hunan University. The team members have won the first prize of the provincial university student industrial design competition; published many articles in international core design and computer journals and conferences, among which won the best paper award. They hope that through this inclusive mutual aid system design, they can concentrate the common social forces of enterprises, residents and voluntary organisations to deal with the problems in the epidemic in a more efficient and low-cost way.more
