Walking stick that turns into a tent

LighTent is a lightweight hiking pole with an integrated pop-up tent. Rolled inside the pole's shaft, the tent is easily removed and assembled. With the pole stabbed into the ground, the tent hooks over its handle, and anchors to the earth with pegs previously fastened to the pole's lower half. While retaining all of its typical functions, LighTent transforms the walking stick into a form of shelter.

My research project involves obtaining energy from living plants and designing and object that can obtain the energy and use it. As a biologist I’m interested in outdoor activities and useful equipment.more
