MONO is an interactive mindfulness system that encourages meditative exercises just prior to sleep. Consisting of: a wearable device measuring heart and respiration rates, as well as sleep patterns; a clock projector producing relaxing visuals, scents, and sounds; and a smartphone app that connects the components and provides a log of activities. MONO transforms a bedroom into an immersive meditative environment, encouraging a clearer mind and better sleep.
Hon Ka Chun is an interactive designer from School of Design, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. With his knowledge of design and programming, he try to making the most use of programming and interactive design in his projects. He designed MONO in 2015 as his final year project which he try to help Hong Kong workers to relief stress by a interactive mindfulness system.
