Sadeem

About

A solar-powered sensor system for flood-prone cities

Sadeem is the world’s first solar-powered, urban, flood and traffic monitoring system. The project is based on a wireless sensor network independent to existing power grids or 3G systems, allowing it to function normally in emergency power cut situations. The project includes a dual traffic/flash flood wireless sensor, a gateway system for receiving streaming data from traffic/flood sensors and a web-based flood data visualizer. Sadeem has been engineered to integrate into a city’s existing IT systems and software.
