Tigris is a language-learning app designed specifically for self-determined learning. With a variety of tools, users can translate text, audio, or camera images, while building a library of previously translated words. Users are also able to collect and enter particular phrases they wish to learn, personalising their experience. By supplying a fixed lesson structure, while enabling the creation of a unique curriculum, Tigris allows users to learn in their own ways. With over 232 million people currently living outside of their home countries, Tigris hopes to encourage the practical and personal learning of languages.
