Toban Shadlyn is a multidisciplinary designer working in the field of architecture, strategic design and research. Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, she currently lives in Providence, Rhode Island, USA.
Toban has spent the past 4 years working as a spatial designer. She focuses on adaptive reuse projects for residential, commercial and civic spaces within Canada and the US. Her strategic design and research practice has led to collaborations in the public sector, working on projects related to education, innovation, architecture and policy with the Rhode Island State government, the Rhode Island Public Libraries, and the City of
Edmonton. She is currently working with the Centre for Complexity and Practice at the Rhode Island School of Design.
Toban holds a Masters of Design in Interior Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design, a Bachelors of Science in Textiles from the University of Alberta and a Certificate in Foresight and Coolhunting Fashion Trends from the Istituto Europeo Di Design in Barcelona, Spain.
